Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in Southern California.

You will perform QC/QA inspections to verify construction complies with codes and approved plans, and you will maintain clear records and interface with project managers and clients. The position requires familiarity with California Building Code, ACI/ASTM standards; a valid driver's license; and excellent written and verbal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
• Must be motivated and able to follow directions.
• Prepare daily reports for submission to QC Manager.

Responsibilities

• Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements
• Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to inspection activities
• Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance
• Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
• Other duties as assigned

Must have experience providing inspections for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. Experience with California adopted codes preferred. Project locations and durations vary by assignment.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

• Requirement for Special Inspector and/or Field Technician vary depending on the type of work to be performed.
• Familiar with California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.

Certifications/Licenses:

The pay range for this California position is $35- $50 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location.
