Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC seeks an ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete & Masonry) for our Raleigh, NC office. The role involves coordinating structural inspections, field and lab testing, and preparing detailed reports for each project site.

The ideal candidate will hold at least one ICC certification in Reinforced Concrete or Structural Masonry, with MSI certification preferred. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• ICC Reinforced Concrete or Structural Masonry certification required (at least one).
• ICC MSI preferred; other ICC certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations.
• Perform field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on construction issues.
