Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in Gilroy, CA is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our nephrology team.

You will participate in professional development, apply research findings, and provide ethically sound care under the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice. The role requires one year of RN experience and dialysis experience in multiple states; graduation from an accredited nursing program; active RN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year of registered nurse experience.
• Minimum 3 months (California & Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
• Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in professional role development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and review and application of research findings.
• Confront ethical challenges using Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and state scope of practice.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams to provide quality care and improve the patient environment.
• Support growth opportunities and servant-leader approach to the team.

As a Staff Nurse you will actively participate in professional role development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and the review and clinical application of research findings. The Staff Nurse develops ethically sound practice and confronts ethical challenges through the application of the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and the state Scope of Practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

One (1) year of registered nurse experience. Minimum 3 months (California & Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience required; a combination of in-center, and/ or acute, hemodialysis required

Education:

Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent

License/Certification:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Competent and in-depth knowledge regarding the use of Electronic Health Records Ability to organize, prioritize and complete projects independently
