Job summary

Satellite Healthcare in San Jose, CA is seeking a Staff Nurse to advance clinical practice in a dialysis setting. You will participate in continuing education, quality assessment, and apply nephrology research to daily patient care, upholding standards of practice with ethical rigor.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, support operational efficiency, and mentor junior staff, while maintaining a compassionate approach to help patients live better

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience; nephrology/dialysis experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and patient data.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dialysis care and monitor patient status.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education.
  • Collaborate with the nephrology team and support staff for safe, efficient operations.

As a Staff Nurse you will actively participate in professional role development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and the review and clinical application of research findings. The Staff Nurse develops ethically sound practice and confronts ethical challenges through the application of the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and the state Scope of Practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
One (1) year of registered nurse experience. Minimum 3 months (California & Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience required; a combination of in-center, and/ or acute, hemodialysis required
Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
License/Certification:
Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure Current Healthcare Provider certification (CPR) required
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Competent and in-depth knowledge regarding the use of Electronic Health Records Ability to organize, prioritize and complete projects independently
