Job summary

NAES is seeking an IC&E Technician at the Fairview Energy Center to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. The role supports safe, reliable operations of GE 7HA.02 gas turbines and the plant’s electrical systems, under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, system diagnostics, testing and commissioning support, and collaboration with Operations,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in power generation or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems (switchgear, MCCs, transformers).
• Experience calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and turbine control systems.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and install plant instrumentation and control systems and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLC, DCS, SCADA and other automation systems.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot GE 7HA.02 gas turbine and related controls.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and system modifications.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to perform outages and projects.
• Monitor equipment performance and document maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and vendor data.
• Maintain shop tools and test equipment in good condition.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
