Job summary

DC Office of Unified Communications (OUC) seeks a Project Coordinator to manage the In-Building Wireless (IBW) program, coordinating with building owners, DOB, Fire Marshal, and vendors onsite in Washington, DC.

The role emphasizes tracking deliverables, resource scheduling, and ensuring inspections, authorizations, and compliance tests are documented. Strong reporting and cross-agency collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6 to 10 years of project support and coordination in an enterprise environment.
• 6 to 10 years preparing status reports and using workflow-oriented program-management software.
• 3+ years with performance monitoring and quality assurance practices, and operational processes with a well-defined workflow.
• 3+ years coordinating a multi-agency, stakeholder-sponsored program.
• 3+ years developing requirements and scope of work to maintain equipment, and reporting on key performance metrics from information systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the In-Building Wireless (IBW) program: communication with building owners, integrators, testing companies, the Department of Buildings, Fire Marshals, and other agencies
• Track program deliverables, monitor and respond to requests, and assign resources; schedule and track OUC commitments and deliverables
• Ensure authorizations, acceptance tests, and annual inspections are executed and documented; monitor annual testing deadlines, send reminders, and issue compliance notices
• Work with the Fire Marshal Office and DOB to enforce compliance and ensure IBW requirements are met for occupancy permits
• Provide monthly program reports with status updates and metrics; review and recommend approval of invoices for BDA monitoring services
• Ensure maintenance of OUC-managed and District-owned bi-directional amplifier (BDA) systems; coordinate testing with radio system managers

The DC Office of Unified Communications (OUC) needs a Project Coordinator for its In-Building Wireless (IBW) Program: managing new building applications and compliance for existing buildings, facilitating communication among building owners, the Department of Buildings, and the Fire Marshal, and owning documentation, reporting, and deliverable oversight. 100% onsite in Washington, DC.

What you’ll do
