Job summary

GPC is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a company-owned IBS location, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive high performance among staff. The role emphasizes inventory protection, asset management, and adherence to IBS programs while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include covering vacations in the LA District, leading process rollouts, and meeting customers regularly to resolve issues while delivering exceptional service and value.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school, and/or college degree a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Leadership in automotive after-market industry preferred.
• Knowledge of store services and ability to coach a high performance team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate a POS system and cataloging.

Responsibilities

• Cover vacations and call outs throughout the LA District including Riverside County.
• Assist with special projects including inventory and procedure rollouts.
• Meet with the customer daily/weekly/monthly to address needs and concerns.
• Develop strong customer relations and maintain high service levels.
• Respond to customer sales and service questions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and IBS policies.
• Greet customers and technicians, demonstrate product knowledge, and assess needs.
• Maintain inventory and correct part locations.
• Learn and use customer fleet management software and pricing matrix.
• Communicate order status and service levels to customers.
• Travel as required and participate in training.
