NTT DATA is seeking a DBS Database Administrator for the Buffalo, NY area to design, administer, and support IBM Z/ Db2 databases in a 24x7 enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in IBM Z/Mainframe database administration with Db2 exposure.
• Deep understanding of Db2 architecture, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Production support and database release management experience.
• Expertise in database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
• Knowledge of RACF/ACF2 security administration and access management.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and translate them into technical Db2 specifications.
• Provide production support and release management for Db2 environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain physical database structures and configurations.
• Build, review, test, and support application database releases.
• Implement and manage RACF/ACF2 Db2 security rules and access controls.
• Build and maintain HA and replication environments for business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver stable database services.
• Support database migration, upgrades, and data conversions.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents and problems.
