Job summary

Located in Grand Prairie, TX, this established 3PL organization seeks an experienced IBM i / RPG Developer for a full-time onsite role. You’ll work on core business systems powering distribution, inventory, warehousing and manufacturing, using RPG III/IV/Free-Form RPG on IBM i AS/400 with COBOL support.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in RPG development, strong knowledge of IBM i platforms, and experience in logistics or related operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of RPG development experience on IBM i/AS400 platforms.
• Experience with RPG III, RPG IV or Free-Form RPG.
• Knowledge of COBOL and business-critical applications.
• Strong understanding of inventory, logistics and warehousing systems.

Responsibilities

• 60% RPG development (RPG III/IV/Free-Form) and hands-on coding.
• 25% IBM i/AS400 application development and support.
• 15% COBOL development and maintenance; collaborate with users.

A well-established third-party logistics (3PL) organization located in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an experienced IBM i / RPG Developer to join their team full-time in a fully onsite capacity. This company supports large-scale distribution, shipping, inventory, and warehouse operations for nationally recognized customers and relies heavily on IBM i (AS/400) technology to power critical business applications. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in RPG III, RPG IV, Free-Form RPG, IBM i Series / AS400, and COBOL development who enjoy working on core business systems rather than modern web-based applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of RPG development experience (RPG III, RPG IV, and/or Free-Form RPG)
• Experience developing applications on IBM i Series / AS400 platforms
• Working knowledge of COBOL development
• Experience supporting or enhancing business-critical applications
• Strong understanding of inventory, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or accounting systems

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience within logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain environments
• Exposure to EDI, warehouse management systems, or inventory control applications
• Knowledge of DB2 on IBM i
• Experience with system integrations and data processing workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
