Job summary

Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced RN Lactation Consultant II (IBCLC) to join the Riley Maternity Tower Postpartum Unit on a PRN basis. You will provide inpatient and outpatient lactation support, assess feeding needs, and develop individualized care plans to help mothers and newborns.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams, educate families, and contribute to quality improvement and program development.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN and active RN license in Indiana.
• IBCLC certification required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification or equivalent required; advanced life support may be needed.
• Experience with maternal-child health and lactation care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation assessment, counseling, and support for mothers and infants in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop individualized care plans and evaluate breastfeeding outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care.
• Educate families and staff on lactation management and feeding best practices.
• Contribute to program development, educational resources, and quality improvement.
