Tri-County Community Action Agency is seeking a certified lactation consultant to provide direct clinical breastfeeding services to WIC participants in Vineland, NJ. The role includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in-clinic and through phone/video visits, with travel within the Gateway CAP area as required.

The position requires an IBCLC and a 4-year degree, and Spanish language ability is highly desired.

Qualifications

• IBCLC certification is required.
• A 4-year degree or higher is required.
• Spanish language ability highly desired.
• One year of lactation experience is preferred, but strong candidates with promise will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct clinical breastfeeding services to WIC participants per Standards of Practice for IBCLC Lactation Consultants.
• Document all client contacts completely and accurately.
• Maintain records, statistics and schedules for lactation services.
• May supervise and mentor Peer Counselors.
• May conduct trainings and in-services as needed.
• Conduct breastfeeding support groups and assess need for breastfeeding aids and instruct users.
