Corewell Health's Butterworth Hospital Women and Infant Services unit is seeking a part-time lactation consultant to support postpartum families. You’ll provide education, guidance, and compassionate care to new mothers, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality breastfeeding support.

The role emphasizes education and patient-centered care, with a focus on lactation issues, staff collaboration, and ongoing development of clinical materials.

Qualifications

• IBCLC certification required OR RN licensed in Michigan with IBCLC within one year.
• BLS/CRT-Basic Life Support required.
• 5 years of relevant maternal/child/neonatal nursing experience or lactation education.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, instruction, and support to lactating mothers and families.
• Collaborate with health professionals to promote delivery of quality services and patient education.
• Develop and revise procedures, policies, and educational materials related to lactation issues.
