Edmonds School District is seeking a Paraeducator IB for Primary Intensive Support to assist in intensive learning support classrooms and K-12 environments. You will prepare materials, monitor student progress, and help implement behavior plans under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data collection, and adapting supports for students with various disabilities. A mandatory in-person orientation precedes start date, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required; multiple pathways accepted.
• Associate degree or higher required or preferred.
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher accepted.
• Apprenticeship as paraeducator accepted.
• Pass PESB assessments (ParaPathways, Pearson Para & Master Teacher) required or obtainable.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certifications or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• De-escalation and physical restraint training or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Special Education Subject Matter Certificate or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Maintain training and use of proper transfer techniques including Hoyer lift.

Responsabilidades

• Work with students in intensive learning support classrooms or other K-12 settings.
• Provide instructional support and supervision for students with disabilities.
• Prepare educational materials and monitor academic progress.
• Collect student data and implement behavior plans.
• Collaborate with staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assigned to IS, ISES, ILS, and DK as needed.
