Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in absence management, benefits administration, or human resources.
• Basic understanding of federal, state, and local leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
• Ability to review complex renewals for areas of opportunity and lead renewal negotiations with carriers under oversight.
• Can conduct alternative design analysis for self-funded disability, leave plans, and paid time off programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with HRIS or absence management systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs and tailor absence management solutions.
• Guide clients on FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
• Support program implementation and integration with client systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage day-to-day administration and compliance.
• Ensure documentation and communications meet legal requirements and quality standards.
• Create workflows, policies, and procedures for absence programs.
• Gather and analyze absence data to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare reports and presentations with actionable insights.
• Stay updated on absence regulations and communicate changes to clients.
• Contribute to best practices for program implementation and administration.
• Work with senior consultants and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify and resolve issues in absence program administration.
• Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide input into tools and resources to improve client experiences.
