Symetra is seeking an ambitious Security Administrator I to help manage identities, access rights, and security profiles across a range of systems. You will implement IAM policies, monitor controls, and produce access reports while supporting audit and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, IT Administration, or related field.
• Understanding of user provisioning, RBAC, identity management and access governance.
• Knowledge of information security principles, controls, and best practices.
• CompTIA Security+ certification preferred; other security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain user identities, access rights, security roles, and profiles across multiple applications, systems, and platforms.
• Analyze, execute, and monitor IAM policies, procedures, and controls.
• Develop and maintain end-user security access rules and profiles to ensure appropriate access is granted and maintained.
• Create, review, and analyze access reports, investigating and resolving access-related discrepancies.
• Assist in IAM controls development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Perform access reviews, monitor control effectiveness, and support audit/compliance activities.
• Provide support to business and IT teams regarding IAM policies and security-related issues.
• Educate employees and stakeholders on IAM best practices and security requirements.
• Partner with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to support access administration and security initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to access controls, user provisioning, and security processes.
