Texas Capital is seeking an IAM Director to lead the organization’s identity and access management strategy, governance, and execution across lifecycle, access controls, and audit reporting. You will collaborate closely with HR, IT, security, and Compliance to drive standardized processes and measurable improvements in least privilege and SoD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Information Security, IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant domain.
• 5+ years’ experience in Financial Services, Mortgage, and/or Banking preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience leading people managers preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of security/control frameworks (COBIT, COSO, ITIL, FFEIC, NIST, etc.).
• Proven leadership running an IAM program with cross-functional governance and clear role/accountability models.
• Experience across core IAM domains: authentication (SSO/MFA), authorization, provisioning, governance, directories, privileged access, monitoring and audit reporting.
• Ability to translate policy/controls into operating processes and measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own IAM vision, roadmap, principles and standards (least privilege, SoD, strong authentication, lifecycle management).
• Oversee joiner/mover/leaver provisioning/deprovisioning with HR-driven automation to reduce orphaned accounts.
• Oversee role/group management and entitlement lifecycle.
• Manage authentication and access controls: SSO/federation, MFA/adaptive authentication, directory/identity store strategy (on-prem and cloud).
• Drive RBAC/ABAC improvements and mature access assignment to reduce overprovisioning.
• Coordinate access reviews/certifications; provide audit support and evidence for compliance.
• Ensure identity monitoring, logging and reporting meet investigations and control validation needs.
• Oversee privileged and non-human identities within IAM controls.
• Provide IAM architecture direction and repeatable integration patterns for applications.
• Evaluate IAM/IGA capabilities and ensure secure configuration aligned with policy.
• Clarify IT and security responsibilities in operating model; align governance and execution.
• Define KPIs for IAM outcomes (security, user experience, automation, audit).
