Job summary

Texas Capital Bank is seeking an IAM Director to lead the strategy, governance, and execution of identity lifecycle, access controls, and audit readiness across the organization. The role requires building cross‑functional ownership with HR, IT, security, and compliance to ensure IAM acts as a shared business control.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in related domains, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of authentication, authorization, provisioning, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an appropriate domain.
• 5+ years’ Financial Services, Mortgage, and/or Banking experience preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience leading people managers preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of security and control frameworks (COBIT, COSO, ITIL, FFEIC, NIST, etc.).
• Proven leadership running an IAM program with cross-functional governance and clear role/accountability models.

Responsibilities

• IAM strategy, policy and governance: Define and own IAM vision, roadmap, principles and standards (least privilege, SoD, strong authentication, lifecycle management).
• Identity lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver): Ensure provisioning/deprovisioning with HR-driven triggers to reduce orphaned accounts and errors.
• Authentication and access controls: Oversee SSO/federation, MFA/adaptive auth and directory/identity store strategy.
• Governance, certifications and audit support: Coordinate access reviews/certifications and ensure evidence/reporting for audit.
• Privileged and non-human identity oversight: Oversee privileged and service/non-human identities within IAM framework.
• Tooling, architecture and delivery: Direction for IAM architecture, repeatable integration, evaluate IAM/IGA capabilities.
• Operating model and cross-functional execution: Define KPIs and cross-team ownership for IAM outcomes.
