Job summary

Texas Capital is seeking an IAM Director to lead the organization’s identity and access management strategy, governance, and execution. You will drive policy, automation, and cross-functional collaboration across HR, IT, security, legal, and data owners to ensure secure, compliant IAM operations.

You will define standards for least privilege, access certifications, and monitoring, while maturing RBAC/ABAC and integrating on‑prem and cloud identity stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IAM or related domain.
• 5+ years’ Financial Services/Banking experience preferred.
• 5+ years’ leadership experience managing people.
• Advanced knowledge of security frameworks (COBIT, COSO, ITIL, NIST, etc.).
• Proven leadership running an IAM program with cross-functional governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and own IAM vision, roadmap, and standards (least privilege, SoD, strong authentication).
• Lead identity lifecycle management with HR-driven automation to reduce orphaned accounts.
• Oversee role/group management and entitlement lifecycle.
• Manage SSO/federation, MFA, and directory strategy (on‑prem and cloud).
• Drive RBAC/ABAC improvements and access provisioning controls.
• Coordinate access reviews/certifications and audit support.
• Ensure identity monitoring, logging and reporting for investigations and compliance.
• Oversee privileged and non-human identity governance within the IAM framework.
• Provide IAM architecture direction and repeatable integration patterns.
• Evaluate IAM platforms and ensure policy-aligned configuration.
• Clarify responsibilities between IT and security and define KPIs.
