Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex IAM initiatives across the enterprise. You will translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, coordinating across infrastructure, security, and applications teams to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.

You will manage platform migrations, policy implementations, and new capabilities, combining formal project discipline with hands-on IAM expertise for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IAM platforms/architectures (Okta, Active Directory, PAM, IGA) and identity governance controls.
• Advanced PM skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management with hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder communication translating technical architecture to business context.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in project/program management; 5+ years managing IAM or enterprise IT projects.
• 3+ years hands-on with enterprise IAM platforms and multi-team migrations.

Responsibilities

• Define project charters and scope for IAM initiatives, breaking implementations into workstreams and phases.
• Develop schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates with technical leads.
• Establish success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Lead governance boards and steering committee reviews; communicate status and risks to diverse audiences.
• Coordinate across infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams; manage dependencies and escalations.
