Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Warehouse Lead at Dulles International Airport. The role involves preparing aircraft supplies, supervising loading/unloading and inventory at the process center, and teaching agents to handle materials safely.

The position requires flexibility to work Saturday, Sunday and five consecutive weekdays, with AM, PM, or overnight shifts. Candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and aviation-related experience is favored.

Qualifications

  • English language communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior aviation/aircraft appearance experience preferred.
  • SIDA badge/ airport ID required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure supplies for aircraft are prepared.
  • Unloading, sorting and accounting for supplies from aircraft and laundry; train agents in handling supplies.
  • Manage new supplies received at the process center and inventory accounting.
  • Oversee daily operations of the process center including reports and scheduling.
  • Train warehouse agents to operate safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment around the center are safe to operate and report issues.

Responsibilities
Specific Duties/Essential Job Functions
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for ensuring that the supplies needed for an aircraft are prepared.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for recognizing, unloading, sorting and accounting for the supplies that come off the aircraft and back from the laundry and for accounting for those supplies. Provisioning Leads are responsible for teaching their agents how to handle those supplies.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for the new supplies that are received and housed at the process center and for accounting for those supplies.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for working their assigned schedule and enforcing that warehouse agents work their assigned schedules.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for the daily operations of the process center, including reports, inventory accounting, scheduling.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for training warehouse agents to operate effectively and safely.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Warehouse Leads are responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment in and around the Process Center are safe to operate and for reporting any equipment failures to management.

  • Ability to count and weigh inventory and provide accurate date for reports.

Qualifications
