Job summary

AdvanSix in the United States is seeking an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose and repair instrument and electrical systems, and to maintain PLC/DCS hardware and controls.

The role involves troubleshooting critical equipment, reading electrical drawings, applying electrical codes, and performing preventive and predictive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong PLC, CNC, and electrical distribution knowledge is essential, with a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology or similar certification.
• Ability to read electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs and CNCs.
• Knowledge of 480 Volt MCC and Power Distribution Systems.
• Basic programming knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment and electrical systems upon failure.
• Read/interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation drawings and manuals.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair PLC and/or DCS hardware, software and controls.
• Repair and maintain AC/DC motors and control circuits.
• Maintain MCC and power distribution systems, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Work safely in high voltage environments and use required PPE.
