Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose, service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain instrument and electrical systems across our plants. You will handle motor controls, PLCs, DCS hardware, power distribution and instrumentation devices in a fast paced environment.

The role requires an associate degree in industrial electrical/electronic tech and at least five years of maintenance experience, plus strong reading of schematics and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology or related certification.
• At least five years of industrial Instrumentation-Electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings and schematics.
• Experience with PLCs and CNCs.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment and systems when failures occur.
• Inspect and repair AC/DC electronics and motor control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and Technical manuals.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC and DCS hardware and software.
• Ensure proper operation of 480/240V MCC and power distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Operate and move equipment as needed.
