Job summary

AdvanSix seeks an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain instrument and electrical systems across our Virginia facility. You will troubleshoot PLCs, DCS hardware, and power distribution while reading complex schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities include replacing devices, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safe operations in a high-voltage environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology or similar certification.
• Five years of industrial Instrumentation-Electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment upon failure.
• Repair and maintain PLC and/or DCS hardware, software and controls.
• Diagnose and repair AC & DC motors and control circuits.
• Maintain MCC and power distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
