Job summary

Targa Resources seeks an I&E Technician to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems, including GE PLC and Cimplicity control systems, and to troubleshoot hardware and communications.

The role requires reading schematics, working with MAXIMO CMMS, and adhering to DOT, OQ and PSM regulations while supporting emergency response and plant safety.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electrical maintenance or five years' maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to work in confined spaces, kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs; may work irregular shifts.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Interpersonal communication with teams and customers.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain GE PLC system.
• Troubleshoot GE Cimplicity control system.
• Troubleshoot computer and communication issues.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Provide corrective and preventive maintenance on I&E systems.
• Write repair work requests in MAXIMO CMMS.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety rules.
• Respond to emergencies; coordinate with team for plant shutdowns.
• Operate under applicable regulations and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
