Job summary

INEOS Pigments in Ashtabula, Ohio is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation issues that could impact safe operation of plant systems. You will test, repair and upgrade systems, work overtime and during plant outages, and contribute to safety.

You will maintain equipment, monitor processes, use computer systems for spare parts and documentation, and follow NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, ISA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years industrial or equivalent experience.
• Certifications from trade schools or professional organizations are preferred.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Must be able to work rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently maintain/repair manufacturing and utilities equipment per policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment; report deviations and assist investigations.
• Use computer systems to obtain spare parts and complete documentation/reports.
• Install, calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot and repair instruments and electrical equipment per NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, ISA standards.
• Interpret drawings and documentation (one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, P&ID’s, loop diagrams).
• Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, VFDs, and motors.
