Job summary

Interstates is seeking an I&E Technician to support plant production and automation projects across the United States. The role involves testing, calibrating, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems, with a strong emphasis on safe operations and adherence to project schedules.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot PLC panels, and coordinate outages with plant operators. Expect extensive travel to diverse sites, working around high places and requiring reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Associates in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or related schooling preferred.
• Strong experience with low-voltage transmitters (4-20 mA), control loops, valves/controllers, motor controllers, and electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, technical drawings and manuals to isolate faults and repair equipment.
• Must possess great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies electrical and control/instrumentation systems for plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC hardware panels including wiring and power supplies.
• Coordinate with plant operators to schedule outages for repairs/calibration.
• Must display superior understanding of safety.
