Job summary

CF Industries is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to provide technical skill and guidance to execute Instrument & Electrical maintenance and support project construction across Distribution Facilities. You will design, install, and document I&E systems while training operations personnel in troubleshooting and safety.

Successful candidates will have substantial I&E experience, PLC/HMI expertise, and the ability to supervise contractors.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in plant Instrument & Electrical departments or related work.
• Deep background in instrumentation and controls with emphasis on PLC/HMI installations.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Experience with OSHA's process safety management concepts (MOC, PSSR, PHA, LOPA) preferred.
• TWIC card and passport ability or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Provides project design, installation, and associated documentation.
• Installs and maintains Instrument & Electrical equipment throughout Distribution Facilities.
• Assists engineering and/or other I&E personnel on projects.
• Supervises external Instrument & Electrical contractors for major work.
• Develops facility process documentation such as P&IDs and electrical prints.
• Trains operations personnel in troubleshooting Instrument & Electrical equipment.
• Supports in establishing preventative maintenance programs and recordkeeping.
• Provides electrical work safety training for operations personnel.
