Job summary

The Arkema Group seeks an Instrumentation Technician to support the IEC craft group at our Mobile, AL facility. You will perform calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of instrument and electrical systems, including process instrumentation and environmental monitoring.

You will coordinate with external I&E contractors and participate in safety and maintenance meetings. Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical cert in industrial electrical/instrument/control/HVAC, OSHA

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification in industrial electrical/instrument/control/HVAC.
Annual OSHA CPR training.
5+ years related experience or 2 years college/trade school plus HS diploma.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access.
Plant software CMMS, PI or similar.
Aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well with other departments; team player.
Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Maintain calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrument and electrical systems (pressure, flow, level, temperature, and pH).
Support external I&E contract services and coordinate with planners/schedulers.
Participate in daily maintenance meetings and Safety Toolbox discussions.
Ensure safe, clean work environment in line with HSE policies and procedures.
Complete Safety Critical PMs and monitor compliance; troubleshoot root causes.
Be on-call for afterhours plant support as needed.
