Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation is seeking an I&E Technician to apply instrumentation and electrical knowledge to perform preventive and repair maintenance on facility equipment in a safe, economical, and environmentally sound manner.

Essential duties include calibration and integrity checks of process instrumentation, developing maintenance schedules, and providing technical support to production and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate from approved Instrument/Electrical school required.
• Minimum of 3 years industrial plant experience; science background preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings; good mechanical aptitude and ability to use technical manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, repair and checks of process instrumentation and electrical equipment; ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement and document preventive/predictive maintenance schedules for instrumentation and electrical equipment to maximize on‑stream time.
• Provide technical assistance to production and engineering on instrumentation applications or modifications.
• Maintain records, tools, spare parts, and vendor resources; ensure availability and reliability of test equipment.
