Job summary

USA Compression Partners is seeking an I&E Service Technician to support field operations, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment across our natural gas compression fleet. You will work under the Supervisor – I & C with a focus on motors, switchgear, instrumentation, PLC/DCS systems, and control networks.

The role requires strong instrumentation and electrical experience, NEC/OSHA familiarity, and the ability to read schematics and control narratives.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years in industrial oil and gas instrumentation and control within natural gas.
Technical schooling or associate degree in instrumentation/electrical is required.
State electrical license preferred and arc flash certification desirable.

Responsibilities

Review project scope, schedule, and budget with supervisor for USAC projects.
Install, diagnose, and maintain electrical distribution, motor control gear, and related software.
Read manuals, drawings, and P&ID’s; interpret control system narratives and diagrams.
Install and troubleshoot PLCs or DCS systems and related safety controls.
Ensure safe, proactive field communication and mentoring of less experienced staff.
Support energy isolation LOTO procedures and OSHA/NEC compliance.
Work full-time hourly with safe, professional conduct in the field.
