Job summary

Clean Harbors in Rollinsford, NH seeks a reliable I&E Technician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will perform hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC logic programming, diagnosing control circuitry issues and supporting electrical and maintenance teams.

This role demands safety-first mindset, ability to lift 50 lb, work at heights and in various weather, plus experience with 480V systems, P&ID, and DCS.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ years electrical experience preferred.
• 3+ years instrumentation experience preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley)
• VFD troubleshooting and programming experience preferred
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and P&ID's
• Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS)
• Experience with 480v and below
• Willing to jump in and assist maintenance and other teams when needed
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks preferred
• Mechanically inclined is an asset
• Lift up 50lb, working at heights, confined/tight spaces, stooping, bending, standing for long periods
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
• Services and replaces motors and lighting
• Performs general electrical maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
