Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a hands-on technician to verify transmitter calibrations, refine PLC logic, and install power wiring for new control loops. You’ll work with maintenance and electrical teams to keep critical assets safe and compliant, in a fast-paced, essential-industry environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5+ years in oil/refinery/chemical/steel mill settings (preferred).
  • Instrument and/or electrical training or degree (preferred).
  • Proven troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Make safety your constant—adhere to safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
  • Diagnose and correct instrument and control malfunctions.
  • Execute PMs and perform precise calibrations.
  • Document activities with accurate records and logs.
  • Install new system controls, including power wiring.
  • Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
  • Service and replace motors and lighting.
  • Handle general electrical maintenance.
  • Pitch in on other tasks as assigned.
