Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Kentucky is seeking an I&E Technician to join a brand-new TNT plant startup. You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and replace electrical and instrument equipment, ensuring code compliance and safe operations from day one.

Requires Technical College or equivalent in I&E and 5+ years of experience, plus SAP maintenance history management and a team-focused, safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Technical College or equivalent training in the I&E field.
• 5+ years of experience in the I&E field.
• Repair, maintain and install electrical and Instrumentation equipment, while maintaining the NFPA 70E code.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, or replace electrical and instrument equipment as needed.
• Perform new construction and/or modification in conformance with electrical code requirements.
• Maintain safe working conditions and promote personnel safety.
• Assist in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance program to provide reliability to plant equipment.
• Attend meetings related to maintenance and projects.

What You'll Do:

As an I & E Technician, you will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, or replace electrical and instrument equipment as needed. You will be responsible for performing new construction and/or modification in conformance with electrical code requirements. Maintains safe working conditions and promotes personnel safety. Other duties include:

• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance Standards, objectives and actions, regulations
• Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values
• Recommend repairs or modifications to equipment.
• Assist in the solicitation of bids for materials and service work on equipment.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Assists in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance program to provide reliability to plant equipment.
• Assists in the development and training of maintenance personnel.
• Promotes a team-oriented environment.
• Communicates critical findings to Maintenance manager
• Attends meetings related to maintenance, such as turnarounds and specific projects.

We’re Looking For:

• Technical College or equivalent training in the I&E field or relevant plant experience
• 5+ years of experience in the I&E field
• Repair, maintain and install electrical and Instrumentation equipment, while maintaining the NFPA 70E code.
• Manage equipment maintenance history and work orders in SAP to assure timely maintenance task completion.
• Document parts and supplies usage to assure parts and supplies are readily available.
• Safe operation of I&E shop equipment and tools.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on call as required.
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
