Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking an I&E Technician to maintain, repair, and install electrical and instrumentation equipment at a brand-new TNT manufacturing plant in Kentucky. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, uphold safety standards, and support startup activities during commissioning.

The ideal candidate has technical college training in I&E, 5+ years in the field, SAP experience, and is willing to work overtime and on-call. An ATF background check is required for explosives handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in I&E field with electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and safety-focused practices.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on call.
• Must pass ATF background check as explosives possessor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, or replace electrical and instrument equipment.
• Perform new construction/modification per electrical code requirements.
• Promote safety and safe working conditions for personnel.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program.
• Assist in training maintenance personnel.
• Communicate critical findings to Maintenance manager.
• Attend meetings related to maintenance and projects.

What You'll Do:

As an I & E Technician, you will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, or replace electrical and instrument equipment as needed. You will be responsible for performing new construction and/or modification in conformance with electrical code requirements. Maintains safe working conditions and promotes personnel safety. Other duties include:

• Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values
• Recommend repairs or modifications to equipment.
• Assist in the solicitation of bids for materials and service work on equipment.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Assists in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance program to provide reliability to plant equipment.
• Assists in the development and training of maintenance personnel.
• Promotes a team-oriented environment.
• Communicates critical findings to Maintenance manager
• Attends meetings related to maintenance, such as turnarounds and specific projects.

We’re Looking For:

• Technical College or equivalent training in the I&E field or relevant plant experience
• 5+ years of experience in the I&E fieldRepair, maintain and install electrical and Instrumentation equipment, while maintaining the NFPA 70E code.
• Manage equipment maintenance history and work orders in SAP to assure timely maintenance task completion.
• Document parts and supplies usage to assure parts and supplies are readily available.
• Safe operation of I&E shop equipment and tools.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on call as required.
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
