Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to plan, lead, and manage daily maintenance operations at the Graham, Kentucky site while supporting production lines. You will direct maintenance staff, schedule preventive work, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement to sustain Zero Harm goals.

This role requires a Bachelor's in a science, engineering, or related field, plus extensive maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Business Management or Engineering discipline desired.
  • 3+ years demonstrated management skills in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years in a maintenance capacity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in explosives manufacturing.
  • Good working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interact with regulatory compliance officials.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check for explosives possessor.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department to support Graham site lines.
  • Lead maintenance personnel with schedules and routine tasks including preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance on repairs and modifications within areas of responsibility.
  • Provide design and project support for infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.
  • Drive zero-harm initiatives and equipment improvements to meet changing customer demands.
  • Conduct communications meetings and maintain good personnel relations.

What You’ll Do:

As a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor, you will be accountable to plan, lead and manage the day to day operations of the Maintenance department to support the product Lines at the Graham, Kentucky site. Lead operations of maintenance personnel with schedules and routines tasks including preventative maintenance needs for assigned areas. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations

  • Live and foster Dyno Nobel Corporate Values

  • Maintain good personnel relations by explaining company goals and policies.

  • Facilitate all personnel actions as required (scheduling, recognition and reward, discipline)

  • Conduct communication meetings.

  • Makes daily inspection of proper operation and condition of plant process and equipment. Ensures all units and areas are kept in clean and orderly fashion. Takes necessary action to correct and complement findings.

  • Coordinate with maintenance to address needed repair work modifications within areas of responsibility.

  • Plans and prepares special instructions for areas of responsibility.

  • Support manufacturing with design and project support that provides infrastructure and process maintenance/repairs/upgrades as needed.

  • Provide innovative equipment improvements to meet Zero Harm and meet/exceed changing customer demands.

We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Business Management or Engineering discipline desired

  • 3+ years demonstrated management skills in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years in a maintenance capacity

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated with explosives manufacturing.

  • Good working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and manufacturing processes through previous assignments.

  • Ability to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials.

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
