Job summary

Arkema Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Instrumentation Technician to join the IEC craft team. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and electrical systems while ensuring safe operations and adherence to HSEQ policies.

You will interact with maintenance, engineering, and scheduling groups, support external contract resources, and participate in safety activities and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification in industrial electrical/instrument/control/HVAC systems.
• Annual OSHA-approved CPR training.
• Minimum 5 years related experience and/or 2 years of college/trade school.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency with CMMS, PI or similar software.
• Aptitude and skills assessment completed; troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work well with other departments and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Instrument, Electrical, and Controls (IEC) craft group daily maintenance meetings.
• Complete assigned IEC work order tasks.
• Support and perform instrument and electrical tasks as required.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment per HSE procedures.
• Attend educational workshops and review technical materials/publications.
• Assist with external I&E contract resources as needed (APCO, Fenwal, Alabama Scale, Emerson-Rosemount).
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrument/electrical systems (pressure, flow, level, temperature, pH).
• Participate in Safety activities: JHA, incident investigations, audits.
• On-call for afterhours plant support.
