Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is seeking a Specialist, I & E (Compressor Controls) to modify, repair, and overhaul electrical and electronic equipment.

The role focuses on troubleshooting complex control systems, maintaining DCS/PLC configurations, and ensuring safe, reliable operation across gas processing assets. The position requires reading P&IDs and electrical diagrams, performing preventative maintenance, and providing training and support.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program in instrumentation or related studies is preferred.
• Journeyman electrical designation is highly preferred.
• Ability to read safety procedures, work procedures, blueprints and P&IDs is required.
• Familiarity with AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of industrial electrical and instrumentation experience, preferably in an energy related industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool use skills are required.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel) are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively at various organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Install instrumentation and electrical components safely.
• Troubleshoot control systems and equipment including gas recip & turbines, generators and process plants.
• Run conduit, pull wire, change motors and maintain lighting and basic motor controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS and PLC systems to optimize control technology.
• Read and update electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance staff.
