Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Galveston Bay Refinery is seeking an Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Engineer to join the Area I&E Engineering Team. The Project Engineer II/III will provide project management and I&E services to support refinery operations, with responsibilities across small capital and expense projects and multiple concurrent initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 2+ years of industry experience, and will involve safety compliance, coordination with various teams,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical preferred).
Two years or more of industry experience required.
Valid driver's license and ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Applies project management across development, justification, design, construction and startup.
Manages multiple projects safely, within budget and schedule.
Ensures MOC/PSI compliance and coordinates with external/internal teams.
Develops scope, estimates and DSPs for leadership review.
Supports operations and maintenance with I&E engineering expertise.
Participates in HAZOP reviews and process safety activities.
Travel about 10% as needed for turnarounds and field support.
