Job summary

CF Industries is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to provide technical skill and guidance for Instrument & Electrical maintenance and support Sr. Coordinators on new projects at Distribution Facilities.

Key elements include design, installation, documentation, and hands-on maintenance of Instrument & Electrical systems, along with supervision of external contractors and training for operations staff. Will travel 70–80% of time and bring 5–10 years of related experience.

Qualifications

5–10 years experience in plant Instrument & Electrical.
Instrumentation and controls background; PLC/SCADA knowledge.
Familiarity with Modicon and AB PLC software (RS Logix, RS Studio).
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Hands-on with control panels, field wiring, 4-20 mA and 3-15 psi loops.
Familiarity with PID loops and tuning.
OSHAs PSM experience (MOCs, PSSRs, PHAs, LOPA) preferred.
Willing to travel 70–80% and possess TWIC and passport.
Prior supervisory and/or project management experience preferred.
Effective communication and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, install, and document instrumentation and electrical systems.
Install and maintain Instrument & Electrical equipment in Distribution Facilities.
Assist engineering and I&E personnel on projects.
Supervise external I&E contractors during major work.
Develop and maintain facility process docs (P&IDs, electrical prints).
Train operations staff in troubleshooting I&E equipment.
Assist in establishing preventive maintenance programs.
Provide electrical work safety training for operations staff.
