Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc seeks an electrical/instrumentation CAD designer to perform routine design work under supervision. You will draft installation details, MCC lines, electrical room layouts, and grounding plans, and ensure adherence to NEC and CAD standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2+ years of industrial drafting experience, with AutoCAD and MicroStation proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEC and design standards.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Draft installation details, MCC single lines, electrical room layouts and grounding plans.
• Prepare lighting, power and instrumentation plans and cable schedules.
• Assist on-site during startup and communicate design changes promptly.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting
