Job summary

Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) seeks an Instrumentation & Controls professional to support power plant operations, calibration, and safety compliance. You will maintain control systems, troubleshoot using DCS, and coordinate outages with the operations team.

A minimum of four years’ experience in the power industry is required. Strong knowledge of power plant fundamentals and the electric utility sector is essential for success at ODEC in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience working with instrumentation and controls within the power industry required.
• Thorough understanding of power plant fundamentals, process and operations.
• Effective written and oral communications skills to all levels of the organization.
• In-depth understanding of the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant controls systems and calibration equipment.
• Troubleshoot using the Distribution Control System (DCS) to resolve problems with equipment failures.
• Coordinate outages and LOTOs (Lock Out Tag Out) with operations.
• Assist in safety and environmental compliance and audits.
