Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking an Instrument & Control Technician to support the Granbury, TX power plant. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace critical transmitters, switches, and instrumentation essential to safe plant operation.

The role requires calibrations, electrical troubleshooting, and knowledge of DCS/PLC systems, with opportunities to work on Maximo tickets and participate in safety briefings. On-site, full-time position with shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and diagnose instrument issues.
• Experience calibrating and maintaining field instrumentation (transmitters, valves, sensors).
• Familiarity with power plant processes and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Assist in design and implementation of OM&A and capital projects.
• Enter work requests and service reports into Maximo; communicate safety and LOTO procedures.
