Job summary

AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center is seeking a Tech III to calibrate, maintain, and repair instrument systems across laboratory and production equipment. You will work on control valves, Delta-V systems, and Building Management Systems, ensuring cGxP compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of automation hardware/software, and collaboration with maintenance teams to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5–10 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years.
• Experience calibrating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and process controls.
• Familiarity with cGxP compliance and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance and repairs to instrument systems and production equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Building Management Systems and HVAC controls.
• Work with PLC, DCS, and control architectures and related hardware/software.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation networks including Fieldbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, OPC, TCP/IP.
• Interpret technical drawings and documentation to perform maintenance.
