Job summary

NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Technician to support Seabrook Station operations. The role involves assisting with installation, calibration, inspection, and maintenance of plant instrumentation and control systems under supervision.

You will participate in training programs, read schematics, perform routine calibrations, and ensure compliance with safety, QA, and regulatory policies while contributing to outages and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) aptitude test.
• Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent education and/or experience; must successfully complete progression/promotional/training examinations.
• One - two years of related instrumentation and control experience (Reference ANSI/ANS 3.1-1993).

Responsibilities

• Assists in the performance of the daily activities of the Instrumentation and Control Department, including installation, inspection, calibration, adjustment, maintenance and repair of plant instrumentation and controls.
• Participates in and successfully completes plant and Instrumentation and Control Department training programs.
• Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, loops and logic diagrams; performs routine preventative maintenance including bench and in-loop calibrations.
• Performs duties in accordance with plant procedures, radiation protection practices, regulatory policies, QA program, and safety rules.
• Prepares reports, procedures, logs and other historical data to document instrument calibration and work activities.
