Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Project Manager in Boise, ID to deliver I&C/SCADA projects for drinking water and wastewater. You’ll manage scope, schedule and budget, prepare project fees, allocate resources, and approve invoices across regional projects. You’ll also lead PLC/HMI programming and mentor junior staff.

The role requires travel, hybrid office/field work, and a base salary range of $102,900.00 to $193,200.00 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct PM experience delivering I&C/SCADA projects (> $50k).
• Experience with schedules, risk registers and change-management logs.
• Startup and commissioning of control systems as lead PLC/HMI programmer.
• Basic understanding of P&IDs.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, AVEVA System Platform, Ignition, Rockwell FT.
• Implementation of control-system Ethernet networks (fiber/CAT-6).
• OT systems including virtual servers and ring networks.
• Instrument calibration and commissioning; water/wastewater industry experience.
• Coordinating with teams across multiple remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver regional I&C/SCADA projects across the Northwest.
• Lead master planning, design, and SCADA software programming.
• Prepare scope and project fees for contracting; approve invoices.
• Assign resources, track changes, ensure scope/schedule/budget delivery.
• Mentor junior staff; act as technical lead for PLC/HMI programming.
• Coordinate with client touchpoints and project staff; occasional travel.
