Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in Boise, Idaho. You will work on projects spanning state-of-the-art industrial facilities, owning schedules and technical quality while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires a 4+ year background in instrumentation and control, proficiency with PLC/DCS, and experience in P&IDs and valve sizing. Onsite work in Boise is expected, with opportunities to help startups and optimize control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 4 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control.
Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
Experience developing P&IDs.
Experience sizing valves and specifying instrumentation in industrial facilities.
Ability to work onsite in Boise, Idaho.

Responsibilities

Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
Provide on-site assistance during startup.
Coordinate work activities with other staff and the discipline lead.
Produce designs for electrical circuits and panels utilizing control applications.
Develop options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation and automation.
