Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Cary, NC is seeking an I&C Project Engineer to support multidisciplinary projects. You will help scope, specify equipment, design control systems, and program PLC/HMI across project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field and hands-on experience with PLC/HMI, AutoCAD Electrical, and industrial networks. Travel about 30-40% is expected, and Veolia offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent required.
Drafting software experience, preferably AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong PLC/HMI troubleshooting and programming skills (Allen-Bradley preferred).
Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet, VPNs) and field instrumentation.
Able to travel ~30–40% for on-site support and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Review project specs, P&IDs, diagrams, and lighting schedules.
Design and price controls based on project requirements; select instruments.
Coordinate submittals: control panel designs, loop diagrams, BOMs, EDS sheets.
Develop PLC, HMI, and OIT applications; support PLC implementation and SCADA.
Coordinate site activities between PLC implementation and SCADA; provide startup support.
