Job summary

Veolia seeks an I&C Project Engineer to join our Water Technology team in Cary, NC. You will support complex projects within a multidisciplinary group, defining scope, specifying equipment, and designing control systems, PLC/HMI programming, and checkout of controls.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and P&IDs, designing and pricing controls, coordinating submittals, and implementing PLC/HMI applications with SCADA interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent with 2+ years experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC/HMI systems (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Familiarity with CAD drafting (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).
• Knowledge of Ethernet networks, VPNs, and remote access.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering specifications, P&IDs, network diagrams, and related documents.
• Design and price controls based on project requirements and select instruments.
• Coordinate submittals including control panel design, BOM, and instrument sheets.
• Design, modify, and implement PLC, HMI, and OIT applications; coordinate with SCADA.
• Coordinate site activities between PLC implementation and SCADA; provide startup support and troubleshooting.
