Job summary

Fervo is seeking an I&C Operations Engineer for Cape Station, Milford, UT, to own the day-to-day reliability of control systems and SCADA. You will lead diagnostics, maintenance planning, and improvements across PLCs, instrumentation, and networks to keep 24/7 power generation running at full output.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to optimize automation, document changes, and contribute to standardized Geoblock architecture for scalable geothermal power.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
5+ years of I&C engineering experience at industrial/power facilities.
Hands-on with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Studio 5000.
Experience with Ignition SCADA, HMI, alarming, and historian integration.
Familiarity with Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, or OPC-UA.

Responsibilities

Own and manage I&C scope, ensuring changes are evaluated and closed per standards.
Maintain control system docs, diagrams, wiring, and I/O lists.
Troubleshoot field instrumentation and networks; support PLC changes via MOC.
Develop preventive maintenance strategies for I&C assets.
Lead RCA/AARs for control system issues and drive corrective actions.
