FST Technical Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Inspector to join our Taylor, TX project team. This role performs quality inspections of PLC panels, control cabinets, and field devices on semiconductor facility construction sites, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and NEC standards.

A strong electrical background and Journeyman Electrician license are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Inspector

FST Technical Services serves the needs of the growing worldwide Semiconductor/Microelectronics and Life Sciences industries. We began as an independent interface between our clients and their subcontractors to establish build‑clean installation methods that satisfied internal specifications and conformed to regulatory requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician/Inspector to join our teams in Taylor, TX. This position requires candidates who are local to the greater Taylor TX area or willing to relocate on their own; no relocation or travel per diem is provided.

Position Summary

The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician/Inspector performs quality inspections and verification of control systems during semiconductor facility construction. This role ensures all installations meet project specifications, codes, and client expectations. A strong electrical background is required, with preference for candidates holding a Journeyman Electrician license.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect PLC panels, control cabinets, and field devices
• Verify installations against drawings and specifications

Work Environment

Active construction site requiring PPE, physical activity, and extended hours as needed. Walking long distances, working in confined spaces and working at heights is expected.
